I've just started doing CRM development. I usually program in visual basic. When I install the .NET SDK it installs only C# templates and files. Is there a visual basic installation please?

Hi Macleod,

I think this should work. If you can't see fields that are in the view you have selected then it could be that the meta-data needs refreshing. Also is the view that the grid is based on correct? It should one that pulls in your entity and the communications based on an entity id field in the communication entity.

Excellent posting, Jack. I'm trying this against a custom entity and having some problems, e.g. when I go to add columns to my new list - based on my new view - it only shows columns from the custom entity - nothing from the Comm, Company or Person tables. Does the approach you've described need to be modified for a custom entity?
